Regional Sports Awards
The Hutt City, Upper Hutt and Kapiti Sports Awards were recently held and Swimming has been recognised throughout the region.

Upper Hutt
Mary Fisher was named both Sports Women and Sports Person of the Year

Kapiti Coast
Coach of the Year – Jon Winter
Official of the Year – Paul Matson. Paul was also a finalist in the Administrator of the Year category. Administrator of the Year – Henrietta Latham
Heather Newall was a finalist in the Volunteer of the Year category
Paige Enoka was a finalist in the Sports Women of the Year

Congratulations to all those nominated, finalists and award winners.

Swimming Wellington is thrilled to see 4 of our top performers included in the World Championships Team to Barcelona. Congratulations to Gareth Kean who qualified with 2 FINA times , Emma Robinson who qualified in the Open Water event earlier in the season, Samantha Lee and Samantha Lucie-Smith both qualified with FINA B times. Congratulations also to Mary Fisher for breaking your world records.
